Au début Madagascar était peuplé de "Vazimba" les premiers à hanter les régions du centre. Plus tard, après plusieurs migrations venant de la Malaisie, d'Afrique : il devint un pays monarchique. En 1897 la France, par le général Galliéni mit fin à cette monarchie et colonisa le pays.
